Cape Town: the mother city of South Afirca

Nice, fun, sporty and sociable. The Mother City of South Africa occupies one of the world's most stunning locations, with an iconic mountain Table Mountain in the centre, which captures everyone's attention.

Long before the Dutch took the area of Cape town in the 17th century, the land and the mountains around it was home to the Khoisan people who considered the area as haveing a spiritual power providing them with water. Now Table mountain is protected within a national park covering about 75% of the peninsula still remaining at Cape Town's heart. Under the Khoisan name of Hoerikwaggo which means 'Mountain in the Sea' - the national park offeres a new series of trails allowing visitors to sleep on the mountain top while hiking from Cape Point to the City Bowl.
